Same format as before except the extra day.

How does it work?
All you have to do is set a lap time. Sound easy? It is. Download the Forza 3 demo here, and start it up. Once you have set a lap time with the correct car class on the demo track, check your lap time and post it on the site to inform me of your entry.

If you wish to hotlap rather than running the 2 lap race, when on the track select screen, press Y (Yellow) to open the leaderboards, and press A to launch straight into hotlapping, Alternatively you can race against a ghost of anyone with a circle in the column with the paperclip.

How do I check my lap time?
Load the demo, select the car used in the timetrial, get to the track select screen, and press Y (Yellow) to look at the scoreboard Your time will be at the bottom of the screen, listed along with the date the time was set and the assists used.

How much Vcash will I get?
You will get 100 Vcash for every driver you beat

What do I do when I have set a time?
You can either improve on your time if you need to, or if you're happy with your time, wait until everyone else is finished.

****NEW RULES FOR FORZA 3****
Forza 3 introduces a new concept, called certified times. Certified times are ones that nothing may have happened to gain an unfair advantage.Every time that is certified is ranked above any time that is not. There are a few examples of things that will uncertify your times:

Going off track
Hitting a rival car
Hitting a wall
Drafting behind (or in front of) another car at greater than 100 mph.
Using rewind

One thing to note, if you uncertify your time in the last sector of a lap, the next lap shall be uncertified to. A way around having to run a wasted lap (if you are aiming for certification, that is) is to rewind to before the start of the last sector, then running that sector cleanly.

This system is designed to prevent the cheating that was rife on the scoreboards for Forza 2, and as such, we shall be adopting the very same principle. If your time is uncertified, it will be placed under all the certified times.

Have fun, enjoy, and off you go!

(Note from Forzaphile: I'm just trying to help out a bit while Tako has less free time than before, so with his permission I'll be updating the leaderboard above. If you would kindly add me to your Xbox Live friends list, I'll be able to see your times on the FM3 Leaderboards too. Thanks, John.)

For me this car handles like shite, got to keep dropping gears to pick up control and power. Is everyone else needing to drop to 2nd on the sweeper? And 3rd on the left after the uphill, and the left before the final uphill?
Should have included full replays in demo so I could view telemetry, in FM2 although it didn't make me as quick as some it helped me understand what gear speed etc to be at.

Joker , Believe it or not I change into 5th and roll around the first right hander power down the twisty bit to the tight downhill left brake hard drop to third and pick a tight line I can power through hit forth at the apex hold it through the downhill left and right( wide in to clip the apex late) brake lightly still in fourth on the cambered left fourth all the way till the final corner down to third wide in tight out power down to finish . I could go faster but cant be bothered as im pretty bad in a stock car nothing to tune .
So bad that ive started modifying my controller to try out the clutch button in a different place .

Will try that out, cheers Warrior:thumbup:
In FM2 TTs I always chose a ghost to race but viewed actual replay to see what gears people were using for which corner, sort of 'watch and learn' if you will, if FM3 demo included that I would be more competitive I feel.

Definately capable of knocking a good .2 off, if I manage a "perfect" lap. Really not liking this R8 though, grip, grip, grip, spin, death!

I find it quite funny that everywhere you go people are compaining about the handling of the game's poster car.

I find it better than the Evo, but still not a massive fan. That said, I still can't string together a perfect (for me) lap - my best lap was 2/10ths in the red at the halfway point:signs006:

So, best at the moment is 1:04.540 - may or may not go back to that but there's that Porsche to try out first.
