I was happy with ITV4 HD yesterday. It's a quantum leap from the awful Freeview SD picture.

For massive bitrates try the Sky F1 HD channel. It eats Sky+ diskspace like nothing else...

And flash was only 0.054 behind. Neal was 0.3xx something behind. BMW in 5th should make up places into first corner - its a fair way down down to redgate

Reaaly good day today. It's a shame Plato had to barge his way into 2nd place in race 3. Was fun standing at the Esses for that race. Alot of cars going through the gravel!

Aye, plato went too far, since when was the braking point halfway up the straight? (refer to the after race interview.

However he did have it happen to him in race 1 (Matt) without such dire consequences. Drive of the day for me

That was a decent day.

Bloody cold in the wind on the infield mind, and it was minor chaos trying to get out of the circuit after the final race.

Plato was out of order at the last corner of Race 3 (from what I could see). Hoping the Sky box recorded it properly so I can take a look later...

Only marginally worse than what Mat Jackson had done to him earlier though. Would be a shame to see any DSQ but positions should have been given back in both cases.


EDIT - I see some penalties have already been given. In that last race Mat Jackson lost the victory due to exceeding boost limits on his car. Plato got 2 seconds added for that push on Gordon. So Gordon, who was third over the line got the win.

Ah, so Matt did give him a nudge in Race 1 then.

... and something did go wrong with the Sky box. The recording somewhere near the end of the Ginetta junior race. I guess the F1 overran (not that I watched it yet).

The system works! And Plato came 2nd anyway. Everyone at Esses in the final race seemed to be cheering for him. Wrathall had a brown trouser moment in race 1 coming out of the old hairpin, made contact with someone and got quite a bit of oversteer and failed to control a tank slapper.

On the formation lap one of the Fords spun heading down towards the old hairpin. Was hilarius. Was like me on iRacing driving on cold tires.

At the end of 1st practice Gordon Sheddon's car caught fire.

5 hours late it was all rebuilt and back on the track. Unfortunately it wasn't quite right so he didn't set a time in qually.





However, Frank Wrathall did score his first pole!
