Forza 6 predictions

Start this off with:

More tracks

Re-introduced tracks

Yet another tyre model

Small amount of time cycle

Another stupid phrase from Beardy Dan that he'll use in every interview

I just hope they have the sense to bring back all the stuff they omitted from 5 that was in 4 ,plus add a little extra like weather, adjustable fuel and tyre wear as they really need to up their game this time round
AND BRING BACK THE BLOODY STOREFRONT AND DUMP THE DRIVATARS

Sorry Pepsi - They have already said no storefront and no auction house.

I just want a game i don't have to piss about with settings so i can drive, i am able to setup a private lobby with decent settings, i have a distance meter, lots of tracks and some nice cars. Don't care other than I want to race SOMETHING sometime.

What? On Pcars? I wish you could experience what I am getting from that I really, really do. Would wipe the smile off your face.

And you can't be racing in private lobbies on FM5 because they lag to hell, make players disappear but are racing in the lobby.

Are you getting the extreme twitchiness? Or the (opposite/) lock issue?

I know I really struggled with the first and it took a LOT of playing around with settings to get it manageable. Still got issues with the second though, which impacts severely on confidence and was probably the main reason why I was so far off the pace last weekend.

As for FM6, I suspect that T10 will announce they have learned lessons from FM5 (probably get a nostra culpa somewhere around E3), then "Wow" us with more cars, more tracks and fancy new graphics plus 'improved' physics in FM6. I really hope I'm wrong, and they look at what PCars does right and learn from it though.

That said, if the patch fixes the controller issues, I can see me sticking with PCars for a while for a whole load of positive reasons so I think one thing I can accurately predict is that I won't get FM6 on launch day.

The only thing that is predictable about any Forza 6 announcement is Beardy Dan being wheeled out and talking utter ********.

But seriously they have to include weather, better control over lobbies in online racing and more tracks.

I get the extreme twitchiness at slow speeds where I spin off at walking pace. I have tried all setting and whilst it works on some cars it makes others too sluggish or skittish. At the moment I'm treating pcars as its unreleased and not out yet

Same here, but it's not just PCars where I get that. FM5 does the same (for me) and the best conclusion I can come up with is that it's to do with the speed sensitive steering racing games use for the controllers (i.e. more lock at lower speeds, less lock available at higher speeds). I suspect that the best we can expect is that with less twitchy steering the effect will become less pronounced (say, like FM5 on normal steering) rather than that it will go away completely. In the mean time, the best thing I've found to counteract it is very gentle throttle and steer as little as possible to avoid the barrier until the car has finished it's tankslapping routine.

I get twitchy thing at slow corners, but it's drivable, also get the opposite lock thing on occasion, normally at chicanes, but it doesn't happen often enough to stop playing it. Sure can't wait for the patch, but the gt3 cars are perfectly drivable in the meantime

Very true. The karts are terrible for it, particularly the opposite lock thing.

Some of you may have noticed in the feed on Live that I got an achievement a couple of days ago for having all four wheels off the ground for over 0.88 seconds. That was because it stuck on full lock, pulled a complete 180 to the right despite me having the stick left, hit the following kart head on then got lifted onto the top of that kart until we both hit the barrier.

Much less of an issue with the GT3s, and once tuned up the Evo seems better still.

I assume this is because of the cross platform (Xbone and PC) MP that is going to be possible with Windows 10.

Could be, but I seem to remember in the run up to the XB1 and PS4 launches much talk of this being the last generation of console. My initial thought on this was that MS may be making the first steps away from the Xbox platform towards being fully PC oriented.

Only a hunch, and I'm sure that the XB1 lifespan will be much nearer to that of the 360 (~8 years) than of the first Xbox (~3.5 years), but if this is true it could be a pointer.

Of course, another (more likely) thought is that it could be a way of spreading development costs across two platforms since 50 seems to be the ceiling price for what people are willing to pay for games.

Interesting. Some juicy info in there. Be amazed if they manage dynamic weather and time of day at a rock solid 60 fps. Bring on E3!

I doubt the weather will be dynamic (assuming the article is accurate). On Beardy's past form, if it was you can bet it would be all over there. What I would expect is that there will be an option to select either dry or wet weather, similar to how PCars operates now if you only select one weather slot. And what are 3D puddles??? I can only assume that they mean they've modeled the tarmac and where puddles form will introduce hydrodynamic drag and aquaplaning.

Similarly with the night racing, from that article I expect we will see each track to come with the option of racing during the day or at night (or maybe some tracks, or in the worst case it could be like Pacific Shipyards in FM1 where some tracks are night only).

As for Monaco, I would agree that it looks like it. Going by what Ian Bell said, it would be a relative no-brainer to go for given that it's been requested numerous times and is a public road so they could get on with modelling it safe in the knowledge that in the event they can't use it they can just name it something other than Monaco and not infringe any copyrights.

Im glad i didnt fork out on an xbone given how badly received FM5 was. I'd love to get back into racing, hopefully FM6 will finally persuade me to get one!

Got to second this. Playing PCars has made me realise just how off-course Forza had gone. It's not easy by a long shot, but personally I just find it so involving.

Ill third this Ok there is no Painting but the rest is so involving that it will dominate . You can tailor the assists and the AI the weather so you can have close racing no Matter how slow or fast you are to have close racing . in short it is epic and can only get better.

While I agree that P Cars is far better then Forza 5 and would recommend you to get the game, this thread is meant to be about FM6 and wouldn't like to see it a which is better argument.

I'm playing on PC at the moment, which seems to play a lot better than xbone, having recently played at miltons. The snap over steer and being unable to regain control regardless of how hard you try is beyond frustating
