Very varied selection there Jou, more cars & bikes than I've had hot dinners!
Some wierd and wonderful cars all round, makes my car history a touch boring:
1.4 Orion (Red)
1.3 MG Metro (also Red) - went like the clappers compared to the above!
1.3 Escort (also red, spot the theme here ) (Back to a Ford, I don't know why!!! )
1.7 TD Vectra (guess what colour.... Nope, Green )
Now with my current Clio (no not red, black)
Would love something a bit more 'masculine' but moved house about 6mnths ago so the pennies are a bit on the shy side at the mo ah well, the future's bright and all that...

Jou, I'd love to see some pictures of your FZR/Firestorm. Awesome bikes.

Enough lol. Not that much really. Had it from new and prefer to do all the work myself rather than pay a garage, and i know people in the trade etc so I can get parts cheaper than retail etc. Its going to have an engine conversion soon as its too slooooooow lol.
I had a 1994, 1.1, 5-door Ford Fiesta, but that had to get scrapped - through no fault of my own. I got T-boned by a BMW.
I know it doesn't look all that bad, but the central cloumn/pillar was bent, and it was gonna coast me the equivalent of the purchase price to repair.
Right now I'm just trying to get enough money together for another car. I don'rt really know what though.

Think this is the best thread to add "I have a new mota" to
Here's me list to stay in check with the original idea on this thread -
1982 E21 BMW 318 (2 door, alloys and tints in jet black)
1983 Astra 1200 3 door (kitted with GTi kit, used to work in a scrap yard so parts were easy to get hold of)
1992 Seat Ibiza 1.5 5 door
1999 Fiat Punto 1.2 3 door (passed on to the wife when I had works transit pickup)
1994 Peugout 106 LX 3 door
1994 Renault 19 1.4 RX 5 door (wifes choice of car after getting rid of the Punto which soem toe-rags kept deciding to break windows on)
1995 Rover 218 SLD Turbo 4 door
1998 Rover 220 DTurbo 5 door
2004 Fiat Punto 1.3 Diesel 5 door (wifes latest car which she loves)
And my latest motor is a 1995 (gen6) Toyota Celica 1.8 ST, which I have to admit is the best yet on my owned motors list.
Working in construction and being transport manager I get to drive a fair few hire vehicles, some commercial and some standard cars and I would say the Celica is the best drive so far in any car i have driven.....ones I have driven whilst at work -
2007 VW Passat TDi
2006 VW Golf TDi
2005 Mitsubishi Shogun Sport Warrior
2007 Mitsubishi L200 Warrior
2006 Ford Mondeo Diesel
2006 Ford Focus Diesel
2004/2005/2007 Ford Transit tippers (which drive way better than the cars above and are far more comfortable)
Oh yeah and my favourite drive whilst at work Iveco Eurocargo 7.5T tipper.....lol

Mate that R5 is sweet, if it wasn't such a small car I would have looked for one myself.
The MR2 looks to me the best you have had though, or do you have a personal favourite from your list?

The R5 was really nice, was completely standard to apart from wheels and a low miler, would have another any time.
Performance in a straight line it would deff have to be the MR2 (it got a little hairy in the corners some times as turbo lag was a problem, no boost then everythign at once in a corner wasnt fun haha)
My fave was the Gti 6, loved that car, was brilliant as a daily driver and was also best handling, The guy who i bought it off spent a lot of time and money having the suspension fettled and it was just beautiful to drive.

Been the proud owner of two cars in my life, it had to be Saabs for me... my dad's a big enthusiast and knows them inside out, which means no garage expenses.
Got the first one, a 5-door 1978 Saab 99 GLS, when I was 18 - but the rear right hand shock disappeared into the bodyshell (mounting point had completely disintegrated from rust lol). We tried to salvage it with some creative welding, but it ended up on the scrapheap stripped of parts.
My second effort was a 2-door 1984 99 GL which was a lovely car... no rust or anything. The bad move on my part was moving to Oslo - which spelled the doom for that one. In 2 years the car was stolen 4 times, broken into 15 times and finally someone crashed into it while I was out of town. The front was so badly damaged it just wasn't worth it to fix.
The 99s were extremely comfortable and had a real quality feel to them compared to other cars of the same age/size but they were nowhere near sporty.. the aerodynamics were flawed, the engines were soggy and the handling wasn't exactly a dream either with the soft rear suspension.
If I'm to get another car now it might be an older Saab, a late 60s or early 70s 96 V4. Quite possibly some of the best handling little cars I've driven, and with no insurance cost, road tax or repair costs (for me) - quite economic as well
This is my everyday car. 1.25 engine for cheap tax but tune'd to 119 bhp wich is great as it was 75bhp to start with.
an this is the car i use to do trackday.
1.8 zetec with omex ECU an has been in Fast Ford.

GT on 360 PzR SCO77YRS GT on PS3 SCO77YRS
thats my new baby ib got to sell the vr when comes back from the bodyshop but iv got this it started life as a 2.8l v6 4motion (4wd 24v version of the vr6 engine 200 ish bhp 200 lb ft torque) somebody smashed the sump of the engine wrecked it insurance wrote it off as cat d then the prev owner (very handy with a spanner lol) bought it and swapped everything from an r32 (3.2l 24v vr6 240 bhp 240 lb ft) except the brakes including suspension steering rack etc so its now a stealth r32 with better seats (black leather recaros which are just utterly awesome seats) problem is its not quick enough so im planning a 500 hp rotrex supercharger for it
Some great looking cars there. Mine have been less exciting:
1996 1.1 Peugeot 106 (LX I think)
1998 1.9 T Diesel Citroen Xsara X
2005 2.0 HDI Peugeot 407 SW SE
2006 1.9 TDi Seat Leon Stylance
I just got the Leon a week before Christmas and it's absolutely awesome. It's got the downtuned 1.9 TDi engine, but still pulls like a train. It's great fun to drive and pretty good handling. I'm actually looking at putting a nice sound system in this one, so if anyone has any advice please let me know.
Dash (and no I don't crash these like I crash on the track!)

3. Ford Fiesta XR2i.....nice but WAY too low for my local forest roads, rubbbed over every little bump.....Actually sold that one on!!!
Notice a trend.......
4. Ford Escort XR3i convertable......bag o crap...had it for 3 months in summer then....you guessed it - scrapped cos it filled with water.
5. 02 Reg SEAT Ibiza 1.9TDi Sport (the 130BHP one)....love this car, has lots of torque and drives really nice.......still got it and going strong
I doubt you were mate but were you a member of www.fiestaturbo.com in the past??
My Car History.....
1 - Vauxhall Nova 1.3SR (white) - Swore i would never own a nova but i couldnt turn it down for the money it was up for and how clean it was..
2 - Fiesta XR2i (white) - Lasted 6 months before it failed an MOT due to it needing £500 worth of welding, sold it for £300
3 - Fiesta Zetec S (Moondust Silver) - My first real nice newish car (PAS, Airbags etc) A lovely car to drive, a real nice hot hatch even if it wasnt that quick, Paid £4000, Wrote it off a week later, a bloody tree ran out in front of me!!
4 - Peugeot 106 Quiksilver - only nice car i could really afford following my previous accident. Ok car but too slow (1.4)
5 - Fiesta XR2i (Red) ( The love of my life ) Love this car to bits, had her for about 4 years now and still only got 66k on the clock , spent god knows how much money on her - H&R Coilovers alone were £999, shes also running on White 16'' mondeo si alloys.
6 - Fiesta Zetec S (Imperial Blue) Purchased this on a whim, as i didnt get much time to enjoy my previous Zetec S, had this car for 6 months and loved it to bits but missed my Red XR2i too much so sold this and got the XR2i back out of storage.
I suppose this is as good of a place as any to add this:
I'm probably going to be getting myself another car soon (more than likely after March 23rd). I don't mind too much as to what car it is, but it's ideally going to be something for under 2k. What I really want is something that's going to be cheap to insure, bearing in mind that I'll be 20, and have 0yrs NCD. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It is the ST mate (1.8) standard trim, model just before they slapped the sculpted side skirts and lip spoiler on.

Quite possibly, I don't have the log book yet and I got the car from a small cars sales pitch, I'll update you when I get the V5.

I just got a bit bored and did a quick search through the GreenFlag database on the reg, and it turns out that some guy in Cannock has breakdown cover for that car. Not very interesting, but heh, as I say, I'm bored, I might as well post pointless ramblings.

Might need to get his name and details just in case me breaks down....lol. Lucky I have an inlaw at the AA and she tells me to use her boyfriends details and get free cover that way,........as they say it's not what you know..
Incidentally what other details can be grabbed from my reg? I'm a nit concerned nwo

Details I can get here are that guys name & address, that of any previous owners who had breakdown with greenflag, your cars colour, reg, make/model, gearbox (man/auto), fuel (diesel/unleaded), and (most importantly) the number of times we've been out to attend a breakdown for that car. So, nothing intrusive.
I had a look, and since someone owning that car has had greenflag (since 2001) we've not gone out once - Good news

I have drove a couple of Golfs including GTis admittedly not the VR6 though, and teh Celica even at almost 13 years old drives a lot smoother than those golfs. Feels less mechanical somehow too (if you know what I mean).
