Triples are back!

I used to have a 24" triple screen setup back in the day and really enjoyed it but limited space meant I had to get rid of it. After getting back into PC sims I go the bug for ultra widescreen gaming again. Room was still a problem so plumped for a 34" 21:9 monitor.

It was an improvement but soon realised that it wasn't going to cut it so I decided to do triple again but properly this time. Decided on 3 x 40" 1080p tv's to give enough screen real estate to have the correct FOV for a 1:1 in car view.

The major problem to get round was a sturdy enough mount to hold them securely. Searching the interwebz I found this Triple monitor mount (21) - SIM-LAB made from aluminium profile, it's strong, light and once together rock solid. Finally got it all set up this weekend and it's awesome, so immersive and really adds to the experience. Couple of pics.

Took them with the pano function on my phone so they are a bit distorted and don't really do it justice. So here's a quick vid to show my viewpoint.

Will do Lee. Bang into Assetto Corsa at the moment. Been doing some online racing every other week but would be happy to find another group as well.

Wow, that's big!

I'm using slightly mismatched triples ... 24" 16:10 1920x1200 centre and 19" 5:4 1280x1024 at the sides on a GT Omega stand.

With the screens just behind the wheel base it fills my corrected vision area almost perfectly. The side screens are mainly for peripheral vision.
