- Another circuit with multiple tracks that we will not talk yet, Turn 10 wishing to submit in the coming days.
Two other settings are grayed out in the selection screen (probably those requiring the installation of the second disc):
- Benchmark high speed ring (14 tracks)
- Sidewinder proving grounds (18 tracks)
I haven't corrected the bad translation on the Le Mans without Chicanes.
The "other circuit" with multiple tracks is Fujimi Kaido.
Cars monthly though? Whats your thoughts on the list then Tako?
It is disappointing. Only Le Mans and Catalunya being new is a bit frustrating. The positive is that the new tracks that are not real seem quite compelling, the Montserrat region is well designed, and I think they all have pits, but don't quote me.
I'm liking what they did to Kaido and New York (with baffles!)
As long as the DLC they are adding is more new real world tracks, I'll be happy. There's enough meat here to keep us going, even if we have driven the tracks before.
Still a distinct lack of real worlds ... Monza, spa, donington, brands etc
Totally agree with you there Joe. I'd do pretty much anything to have Spa in this game. I'm not sure any racing game can be called complete without it.

From what i have seen of the new non-real world tracks, they look very very nice so i am not that overly bothered by the "lack" of real world tracks.
I'm sure if they put a load more real world tracks in the release and then brought out non real world tracks as DLC you would be raging a hell of a lot more than this as we all know they will bring out real world tracks as DLC.
After playing Shift I'd really like to see Willow Springs as DLC as well Couldn't care less about Monza (rubbish track if you ask me) but I'm gonna miss Spa. Brands is decent but not really that special, and I really won't miss Donington.
Could have been more new real tracks, but the new originals look promising.
very dissapointing track list. the original tracks in forza2 are generally rubbish (sunset isnt too bad) so hopefully they put a bit more effort in this time. i hate the way games are gone with dlc.
The dissapointment with this game starts here.
24 tracks. Not exactly 100+ is it the lying scum. I wonder if we all buy this game and then sue Turn10 under the trade descriptions act they will change their guff to "24 tracks with 100+ ways of going around them"?
And as for DLC, why should we have to pay extra for tracks when theyr the fookers who kept on about how huge 'Fort-za Motorsports' was gonna be?
3 tracks a year, for 2 years is 6 tracks. woopee-fookin-doo.
They wanna compete with and beat GT5....... but they have less tracks than GT4.

Well FM2 only had 12 environments (8 real-world), 47 tracks in total (incl. all configurations/variations) pre DLC, so i'd say were getting alot more for our £40 this time round.

Don't get me wrong, it's still going to be a fantastic game. It's just that they seem to have pushed the boundaries of the rest of the game so far that I was a little disappointed to see they hadn't pushed the boundaries on track inclusion as much as they have with the visuals for example.

Well theres only gonna be so much room for tracks Slim if they tell us the cars are 10times better lookin than F2.
I just wish they would all stop lying about such a huge game though. As i said before GT4 has more content car and track wise.
No fair enough theres no editor, AH etc. in GT4 but i bet theres very few who buy it just to sell cars and paint.

i just think whatever Turn 10 present us with, "some" always say thats not enough.
I can see 10 new enviroments plus another "real" track yet to be named there. Thats double FM2, they keep banging on about better track detail, 10x the poly's, tyre flex, store fronts, AH etc etc, but it appears no-one's listening.
Everything that as been presented to us so far as been, quite frankly, stunning and yet we still want this n that!
Right i'm going to pick on warehouseman for 10 minutes....

No no no - its not that we're greedy..... its just that we've been promised the world and been delivered... a crusty old rock.
The AH, storefront etc. we all knew was gonna be there, and lets be honest we have that in F2 really, tyre flex i think is gonna be just for show and as for 10x the polys yes that in itself is worth praise..... but do we really need 10x the detail? Wouldnt 2 or 3x been enough of an improvement over F2?
And yes there is another track to be announced, but i bet it wont be anything particularly exciting.
24 tracks (most we've all played before in F2) is a very very poor show for the 100+ they keep banging on about.
Including rally stages (and not reversed) there was 54 in GT4.
Not including the ribbons variations just 'tracks' - 41 nearly double Forza 3!

I'm gonna distance myself from this a little as I think you are being far too critical. My opening comment in this thread was that I was just a little disappointed with there not being more real world tracks. No that I thought that sucked or felt let down, or thought they had promised and not delivered.

From my point of view they have improved and expanded every aspect of FM2 to a point i thought wasn't possible for my old Xbox.
Just out of interest what does GT offer apart from more cars n tracks? Is there a vibrant creative community, creating tunes n paint jobs that keep the game feeling fresh almost indefinately (sp).
I'll admit that the continued absence of Spa is little disappointing, especially when other lesser games have no trouble getting it.
