Course it isn't a joke, but because of what they did for a living, someone was always going to say it might be.

Guy was a nutter, thought he would kill himself on his bike one day, and wasn't too far wrong.

Out of all of the crew though, i thought Steve-o would be the first to go lol.

RIP, true legend.

Really? The guy acted like a bellend and got lucky that people wanted to a) record it and b) watch it. How does that make him a legend? Will people remember him in 30 years?

Well, if it was a hoax then he'll have lost any respect people had for him, faking a death is about as low as you can stoop to get a reaction from people.

RIP and everything but hes not someone I had a great deal of respect for anyway, im not into skating and jackass got old years and years ago.

I'd call him an idiot then, not a legend. Will you remeber him in 30 years the way people remember Johnny Cash, Big Bopper, etc...?

If i still have my dvd collection i have now, (jackass 1,2,3. Haggard, Viva LaBam) Then i'd say yes probably.
Mind you, i'd be more likely to remember Jackass as a whole. Besides, i don't own any Johnny Cash stuff to remember him by, whos big bopper???????

RIP Dunn, a legend in MY EYES.

Big Bopper was in Mad Max :

Allegedly Ryan Dunn heard us bitchin in the future and attempted to recreate the scene as a homage to the Big Bopper

IF he was over the limit, he's not only killed himself but an innocent friend. How exactly does that make him a legend?

Bloody hell, you lot need to stop taking everything so literally.

Of course he won't be remembered like Johnny Cash etc, i don't even know where the comparison came from, apart from the fact that they're both dead.

IF he was over the limit, i doubt he forced his mate into the car with him, he probably drunk and drove all the time, the idiot.

Still, he always made me laugh, along with most of the crew, so i'm sorry for liking him.

I bet you lot complained about the ****ing Antiques Roadshow being delayed last week.

Olds got nothing to do with it. Johnny Cash was subject to a major film in the mid 2000's that grossed over $200million, still never heard of him? He only died 2 years previous to that and it was a major event, with tributes coming to him from across the globe.....

But I'll let anyone off on Big Bopper, he is likely only to be known to those who either are fans of 'old school' rock and roll or are musical history buffs....
