They got announced a couple of weeks ago.

Surely the demo will drive like the finished game Spiny? Don't recall bad fizzix being an issue with FM3 or FM4 Demos.

Not talking physics, more how enjoyable the demos were. FM3 introduced Camino Viejo which was a nice challenging little track, and focussed on driving/racing. Sadly the game itself turned out to be spoiled by the 4WD dominance.

In contrast, the FM4 demo was dire what with it's Stupid Passing Challenges and Bernese Alps which has always been a track I hated. The combination of the 4WD issues in FM3 and poor demo were the reason why I waited for launch feedback on here before splashing out.

Ultimately, the biggest issue with both FM2 and FM3 was also one of its strengths - the PI system. They were both very good games, but getting the overpowered upgrades into your build turned out to be more important than tuning the car. I don't think the PI was sorted in FM5 either, but to be honest I was only playing that for the last 18 months or so because there weren't any other racing games to play - a fitting damnation on what the franchise had/has become if ever there was one.

Ok, ok...got round to playing the demo. I thought if I played it it would bring a smile on my face and I'd feel at home again and instantly off I go, get the super dooper pack and away I go.

Well it's not. Yeah it's Forza. I don't like the way the rain looks I must admit and the puddles I can see being an **** at times. But I felt no urge to play the demo more. I did nothing for a week before on fm4 demo but play that.

I don't know. I'm just not wowed to fork out the purchase. I actually thought as most players I know are buying it then once I played the demo then I would be investing too. It's done the opposite...I don't want it at all. It's just Forza with some extra bits that I actually don't think look that good (raindrops look weird just static on a bonnet when moving).

It might be the fm5 we have always wanted...but I have played enough of fm5 to want more...so I'm out

I can see where you are coming from Dan. I've played through the demo once. Not been gripped to have another go in a different car as yet. I replayed the Forza 3 and 4 demos for days when they became available.

The rain is ... interesting. I don't like "lake Sebring" that covers the track in the same place that are the results of pre-baked weather. I'd excuse them if it was dynamic and appeared from time to time but as in it's current form it's just a potentially race destroying gamble each lap. It's arcad-ifying the experience, which is probably what the masses want, but against the original ethos of Forza.

I'm more excited about the new build of iRacing we get on Tuesday. Which is about as tragic as it sounds. New Tyre model - Yay! Beardy Dan would love that.

Only a small handful of things putting me off, the already mentioned ridiculous flooding tracks, which are an obvious Mario kart type obstacle, cyborg woman... Who sounds like a sat Nav voice you'd find in a Cadillac. The silly race power up things and having driven the S2000 a couple of times, the ease at which the tyres overheat and lose grip. The Subaru didn't do it.

The feel of the demo was very 'Horizon' and I can see why they put them both in line with each other... But I didn't like Horizon
