Lets hope the frame rate issues are well and truly fixed by the time we get to Monaco, because that will be a pain in the ass.

Turn all fancy bits off - TBH not many of us so less of an issue too.

What is the situation with race starts. We all know you can get a jump on the green light and not get a penalty. Is the situation that anything goes and if you don't get a penalty it's ok or are we supposed to be waiting for the green light?

Standard stewards enquiry I'd think. Someone jumps, and is found to do so on replay, then the get drive through in next week.

The flags are set to on, so if you jump you will get a drive through anyway.

Yeah but you can go before the green and not get a penalty if you time it right. So my question is, is it ok to go before green or are we supposed to be waiting for green.

I would say yes, because I tried this the other week at laguna seca and got it wrong and got a drive through.

I agree because it would pretty hard to enforce waiting until the green. Just as long as everyone else is aware then I don't have a problem with it.

Not quite all of us knew that

I'd be tempted to agree that letting the game decide is probably for the best, but as it's smokin's series he should have the final say.

People are starting to get a bit impatient about when the patch will drop.

This is a quote from someone about it and I think it sums up last nights GT3 race nicely

Quote:
AKA slog through my third weekly league race in succession running hard-compound tires and a full tank, because pitting will invariably make my tires explode.

I'm all for patience ordinarily, but having to limp round every league race avoiding race-ending bugs, rather than y'know, enjoying the game, is starting to wear a little thin.

To be honest if it was annoying me that much I'd just put it down, wait for the patch and play something else in the mean time. The other thing is the patch won't fix everything. I've already seen the devs talking about fixes being in the patch after 2.0. I just hope people aren't expecting this to be the answer to all the problems and then go bat **** crazy when it isn't.

I agree with you Slim. I stopped playing at the start when the controller bug was on Xbox One made it impossible for me to play, but now its more then playable. Yeah I still get the sound and fps stuttering but its not a game killer for me. This game is definitely a work in progress and will take a long time to perfect but in the mean time I'm enjoying it

I do wish it was a little more finished but I'm more than happy with it at the moment. It's just a shame really, we finally get a dev who is prepared to interact with their community and fix their game but it is going to take a bit of fixing. I just wish it had been largely working and they stuck around to perfect it rather than needing to stick around to make it work. We can only hope that others devs follow this lead and we end up with a much more open community focussed pass time.

As mentioned in other thread:

Tyre and fuel use will be off for round 2.

I also want to try out a race restart this week to see if possible without starting whole thing again?

Just wondering if anyone has tried Donington yet, and what sort of times are to be expected. I know I'm best part of 3 seconds off the best Bentley on the leaderboards, but given it's a name I recognise as being very, very quick back in FM1 and FM2 I suspect I'm going to be mid-pack rather than tail-end charlie with regular 29's

I COULD get 29's even low 28's in race but mid 29's to low 30's at the mo i was hitting the apex at old chicane (bottom of craners) bob on every time, now the car feels reluctant to turn in. Noticed this last week too. Might need some tweaking before tomorrow

I need to get into the tune of my car. After very basic changes I can do low 30's, but that still seems to be quite a bit off the pace.

I reckon a 27 is on if you get a break or track rubbers up nicely

The splits I saw on Friday night would suggest this is doable, although I'll be happy if I can get my consistent lap times down from the 29's to 28's.

I have just started getting into the mid 29's.

I haven't touched the downforce yet as I just cant work out what sort of track it is lol

The chicane and the final corner is where I think I am losing the most time.
