Can you heckle him on the DLC for me?

LE plus the season pass is nearly a 100! Plus the Live subscription to allow you to play it with your mates/the great unwashed. The robbing barstewards.

I was tempted to take a trip down to EuroGamer tomorrow, then saw the price of train tickets.

I'm certainly going to be challenging on how strong he thinks his product will be Vs NFS:MW which regardless of anyone previous opinions of NFS should be regarded as a serious threat to FH's dreams of top autumn racer

DLC, well I need to say nothing thats not been said already

+1

There's nothing to see here that's worth that sort of money. I was prepared to pay proper cash for a proper racer like FM but not this. Don't think it'll be long before it's in the sale bins though.

@WiggyDiggyPoo My question was entirely on topic, being that it was in a thread asking for questions. But I guess your word is the law nowadays.

I have a chance to perhaps help some members here and all I got was 20+ posts of off topic moaning, you'll forgive me if I got the brush out.

And why not repeat your questions, perhaps I genuinely missed it. Do you really think I deleted in on purpose to punish you?

The mind boggles.....

No I think you deleted it because you couldn't be arsed to read it. I addressed their moaning by saying it was unlikely the dev had any say in pricing and release schedules so not much of a question to ask and then asked a pretty decent question of my own. A shame you missed it. Enjoy your trip.

Go to 6.40 for the start of the dev session
Go to 27 mins for the Q & A featuring Wiggy and Kingpedrok
Edit, End of the Q & A a big shout for forzamotorsport.co.uk and wiggy gets a brilliantly detailed answer.

Well done wiggy on getting 2 questions for the price of one
The guy whos question stumps him about DLC was another question of ours
Thanks Peter from xbox players for trying

Cheers bud!

Met some friends of yours Newt from Xbox Players, UK Chief and co?

Er anyway I'll post up a full report tomorrow but this session made the game for me, the demo was rather limited and it was nice to see the full game in action.

I really like the look, trust it well feel good.

a bit fable roaming still racing stuff. I'm off to pre order looks fun.

Night driving looks great and a bit of off road adds to the game for me.

Glad you enjoyed it, Peter and chief were telling me how they met my mate from FMUK
and i thought, hang on they might all be in the livestream too.
And u all are

Still like how you got him to firm up ur earlier question near the end, Wigs shall not rest until he knows about the cruising

Peter asked about a backstage pass being the game as well as a season pass, forgot to ask him what he knew to make him ask it. Ralph looked completely surprised by the question?

Glad u had a good day Eurogamers

3rd question was wigs getting more info on an earlier question.

Night does look good and the handling looked much better in this finished build

I think Ralph, or it may have been someone else backstage, mentioned to us there was a lot of confusion online (I think he may mean Twitter q's/other forums) about just what is in the Ltd Collectors Edition vs Season Pass. TBH No one seemed to be able to answer lol!

Personally I'm going for the standard edition, and then buying DLC if I get some cheap points/DLC gets reduced in the future.

Thanks for all the well done's BTW It seemed in the Q&A people didnt want to ask, shy maybe? Anyway I thought it'd be rude not to get him to answer properly lol

I'm going to wait until the thing about backstage pass is more explained before I put any money down... but I think I will put money down... yep.

Wait, what, you can import/be rewarded with free cars for playing both 3 and 4? AWESOME.

Ok, watched the Q&A fully now... awesome plug by him.

Don't think we'll top the 1500+ people on here from when Senna posted that creepy insects link though!

Eurogamer Report

I thought I'd summarise in more detail what I saw/played at Eurogamer.

To try and answer some of the questions you gave me:

  • Pricing

Afaid I didnt get a straight answer on this, I did get a chance to speak to someone from T10 in more detail and I did stress that although we're normally happy to spend the . This time it looks like the perceived value of the DLC isnt as high, time will tell what effect that has.
  • Damage Model

From what I saw on the demo and what is said in the video the cars a even more destructible than FM4. Full body panel damage is possible with panels coming off and being fully desctructable.
  • MMO/Lifestyle Sim Capabilities (TDU)

Not sure on this TBH He does speak of being able to team up as a group to complete challenges so although perhaps not a lifestyle game ala TDU it is a social and muliplayer orientated game.
  • Difficulty

From the demo you were able to fully adjust the car options e.g. ABS etc I didnt spot a easy/medium/hard setting but the race itself I did was fairly easily won. Although MVG Taylor noticed that until we got on the demo no one was winning lol so perhaps they're just rubbish!
  • Career Mode

You need to watch the video for this, from what we saw it completely pumps all over FM4's rather stale 'world tour' for an interactive race world.
  • Graphics/Physics

Again watch the vid for grapics first hand - looks great doesnt it!

Demo was a Dodge Viper and handles very differently to a 'stock' Viper from Fm4 but thats not a bad thing. Remember the object of this isnt to take the stock car and tune/upgrade it into a pure bred race car. What it does do very well is take a very good muscle car and let you throw it around the world with impunity.
  • Multiplayer

Lots of info int the vid but the ability to both party up for a cruise and to compete in challenges around the world sounds great!
  • Upgrades

Just to be clear on this there are upgrades but no tuning, this I feel will take away some of the inaccessibility of FM4 but still keeping a measure of the improving cars ability that we know and love.
  • Paints

We had it confirmed you will be able to import your FM4 designs, whether FH includes the same SF capabilities for paints as FM4 we dont yet know but personally I'll be buying a bunch of FM4 designs now to import

Overall

Like I say above the dev session makes the game for me, the demo was rather limited and if that is the one that hits XBL soon dont be dissapointed.

I think this game is going from a 'what is it about' to a 'must buy' for a lot of people based on the latest info.

Its a shame the DLC pricing does seem so aggressive as that could spoil the experience.

Oh and no Porsche
