Mercedes 190E Touring Car

Another touring car, but this one is from the '80's. The high revving engine and closely spaced gears make this one feel like it accelerates really well, it certainly feels faster than it it. This tune is for Zolder which is the first in the Group A Touring Car series in Career. Be warned that the gearing is quite short and you will be past the red line (although not at the rev limiter) running this tune at Zolder.

Low downforce required for Monza so had to adjust the tune. It seemed to be working ok until the last lap of the career race when the rain really came down (and the AI was affected much less than I was ). Changes from the Zolder tune are in bold green

Another tune needed for Brno, which with the long almost constant radius corners (1st and last excepted) seems to need a very well sorted front end. As a result, this one is a bit pointier than the Monza tune on which it's based. However, once you get into the habit of forgetting mechanical sympathy and flooring it on exit, it's surprising just how early you can get on the power.

All changes from Monza are in bold blue

Last Track - Oschersleben which is usually one of my worst tracks. Strangely, I ended up having a good race on here, even if I did end up second.

As it turns out, the Brno tune worked pretty well here, only needed a few minor changes to non-handling related parts to get it going well.

Thanks for the Bruno set up. I've been struggling at the back of the field, at 75 difficulty. I finished 5th at 80,with this set up.

That's great to hear - really glad it helped. For some reason, this is an easy car to get so-so, but it seemed to take much more work to get that last little bit from it. Pleased it worked for you, it's always nice to hear that one of my tunes had helped someone.

I have to admit that I thought people had pretty much stopped playing PCars here due to the lack of activity so haven't posted tunes up for a couple of weeks. If they're still helping, I guess there's a small backlog (only about 5 tunes or so) to post up.
